West Lake House

Construction of a 4,550 m² academic building that included Junior School classrooms, science laboratories, art rooms, a theatre/assembly hall, a radio station, faculty offices, and storage spaces. The pavilion-type building was designed with a hip roof structure incorporating a vegetative green roof and large overhangs that created a continuous colonnade around the building, providing an outdoor teaching space protected from the elements. Exterior mechanical recesses were integrated within the roof structure. Exterior wall cladding primarily consisted of brick, wood, curtain wall, and window wall systems. Exterior works included both hard and soft landscaping, pedestrian walkways, a student drop-off zone, new tree plantings, a school playground, and an asphalt basketball court. The interior scope of work included complete mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems, as well as AV, security, millwork, and signage installations.
