Royal York Station -
Easier Access Phase 3

The scope of the project was to provide barrier free / easier access to the Royal York subway station with the construction of three (3) elevator shafts and the installation of the elevators and associated equipment, signage, mechanical and electrical work. From the concourse level, one elevator will service the eastbound platform and one elevator will service the westbound platform. The third elevator services the concourse level from the street level. The scope of the project also includes significant civil work including structural demolition, dewatering and deep foundations. The station remained open to the public during construction.
