Construction of new 1,325 sm pedestrian bridge at the Ajax GO Station providing access across a municipal road to allow for the safe passage of pedestrians from the existing north and south parking areas. During construction, work was completed in and around an active operating GO station and access was maintained to the municipal road at all times. Active and concerted effort to ensure site and public safety was maintained throughout construction.
The design of the bridge provides for efficient pedestrian circulation and integrates the built form of the bridge into the site and landscaping as well as incorporating simple materials such as metal, glass, ceramics and concrete, all in line with Metrolinx GO brand standards.
